OUR MISSION
We are a Christian body committed to living faithfully according to the Word of God.
We Believe
God: We believe in one God revealed in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. (Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 17)
Jesus: We believe Jesus is the second person in the Trinity. (1 John 5:7)
We believe he was born of a virgin birth of the Holy Ghost.
(Matthew 1:18)
We believe he died for our sins, was buried and rose again.
(Romans 4:25, Romans 5:8, Romans 12)
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4,1 John 2:2)
The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Trinity. (1 John 5:7)
We believe that if a person repents of their sins and is baptized and seeks after the Holy Spirit, they will receive it. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38)
(Luke 11:13)
We believe you cannot enter the kingdom of God without receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (John 3:5)
We believe the Holy Spirit is our helper. (Romans 8:26)

We Believe
Baptism: We believe baptism is the full submersion in water as a symbol of our faith in God. (1 Peter 3:21, Romans 6:4)
(Matthews 28:19, John 3:5)
Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, both the Old and New Testaments. (2 Timothy 3:16)
Tithes: We believe tithing is a biblical principle of giving a tenth (10%) of your earnings. (Genesis 14:20, Malachi 3:8-10)
Healing: We believe in anointing with oil and laying hands on the sick; and in the gift of healing. (James 5:14, 1 Corinthians 12:9, John 14:12)
Community Baptist
Rich in History
Community Baptist was founded by the late Reverend Belton Brooks. After the death of Reverend Brooks in 1968, Reverend Norman Howard became the pastor of Community Baptist Church. God instructed Reverend Howard to build a new church in 1972. With the help of the Lord, his experience in carpentry, electrical work, masonry experience; and the cooperation of his twelve members; Pastor Howard built the sanctuary we worship in today. Community Baptist Church is a 35 by 70 square foot edifice, equipped with pulpit, padded pews, piano, various instruments, and a baptismal pool; all debt free.
After 41 years of preaching and teaching Gods Word, Bishop Howard went home to be with the Lord on June 26th, 2009.
On November 1st, 2009, the members of Community Baptist Church voted and installed Reverend Harold Howard as the new Pastor of Community Baptist Church.
We thank and Praise God for his faithful service for the past 16 years as of November 1st, 2025 and we know the best is yet to come as he follows in his father's footsteps of being lead by God; Community Baptist is still today being fed the Bread of Life.
Under the leadership of Bishop Harold Howard, the church has added an upstairs handicap bathroom, handicap ramps, ceiling fans, new HVAC system, Church School House, library, remodeled kitchen, expanded pulpit, and much more. Bishop Howard and Community Baptist Church members are committed to putting God First, and serving the needs of others as we lift up the name of Jesus.
